Yezi-Arts Promotions and Productions, founded in mid-2000, is a privately owned and driven institution, with the core principles and works aimed at contributing to the development of artistic activities in Zambia. We believe that Zambia’s creative and arts industry can and should have a positive contribution to the social, economic, political and cultural development of the country, and primarily contribute to job-creation and sustainable livelihood for the artists. Broadly, Yezi-Arts Promotions and Productions anchors its works and contributions to theatre and media arts promotion within the following objectives:
- To encourage and promote cooperation in the field of cultural and performing arts;
- To increase awareness of Zambian performing arts – local and internationally;
- To advocate for culture, and the performing arts to be issues on the country’s national development agenda;
- To provide or facilitate technical support to artists, institutions dealing with artists and the promotion of culture in order to enhance effective management capacities in project implementation;
- To cooperate with regional and international organizations in the promotion, monitoring and implementation of policies on cultural promotion and preservation;
- To advocate for and facilitate the inclusion of culture, and performing arts education particularly, in the mainstream education system at all levels.
